Losing weight/ healthier eating is the most common new year’s resolution for 2017. That said, I normally purpose to share healthy recipes on here with the occasional indulgent dish. This carrot and ginger juice is perfect for those trying to incorporate juices into their diet but are still scared to venture into the green juices.
I’ve had my juicer for a while now. Up until late last year, I’d only used it to juice pineapples and apples. After an episode where I ran out of my usual as I was making juice for my daughter, I decided to juice some carrots. As you probably know carrots can be a tad too sweet and thus I added some ginger to cut through the sweetness and add the much needed kick.
Since then, I’ve made this juice regularly. I’ve modified the recipe a little with the addition of limes. Aren’t limes just the best? From their floral aroma to the touch of acidity. Just right.
Juice the carrots, ginger and lime as per your juicer’s manual. Another great thing with juicing is there’s no need to peel just ensure your fruits and vegetables are scrubbed clean and juice away.
Once juiced, pour into your glass and enjoy. Feel free to add some ice cubes to chill it.
Refreshing glass of carrot and ginger juice. The aroma of the lime invites you in, then you savour the sweetness of the carrot and the final kick of the ginger and the citric acid from the limes. Perfect for this January heat.
Go ahead and fix yourself this drink, I can guarantee that you’ll make it over and over.
Enjoy!
