Mug Cakes and Valentine’s Giveaway {CLOSED}

Happy Valentine’s Day

It’s been a while since I’ve done a giveaway and what better way to celebrate today than sharing the love with one of you guys?

Valentine’s for me,is just another day, plus we (hubby and I) don’t particularly celebrate it and thus no expectations on each other.

However, I remember back in High School, this used to be the day Rachael and I would pin badges celebrating our single hood and independence. A declaration of self love which brings me to today’s giveaway. In life, we may find ourselves being too busy loving on others and forget to love on self. Even when the Bible highlights loving your neighbour as thyself, the gist being you need to love yourself so as to love others.

So this Valentine’s, borrowing from that epic speech from Grey’s Anatomy and those three phrases that Meredith says to Derek,  purpose to pick me,choose me, love me.

One lucky reader, will get these mugs and all you have to do is leave a comment telling me how you’ve purposed to love on yourself this year. It could be taking care of yourself a little bit more, choosing to travel or learning to be comfortable in your own skin no matter what. Whatever the case as long as it’s geared towards self love.

  1. Love for me will be about daily good deeds, making strangers, friends, colleagues happy without expecting anything in return. The shock and smile on their faces is absolutely priceless. To savoring every moment, be it walking home after a long day, a cup of coffee with a friend or even wine later in the evening. Finally, to loving unconditionally! ❤

  2. I love the challenge and coincidentally, this was and still is one of my 2017’s resolution. one of the things I’ve been working on is appreciation. I noticed I don’t give my self credit where due so ive decided not to look down on my efforts. every step counts. 🙂

  3. Growing up I struggled with weight issues and being dark-skinned in a society that embraces light skinned women. Most part of my life I spent despising myself to the extent that I used to choke myself to vomiting after every meal. But life has a way of working itself out. It took a breakdown to see things I had blinded myself to.
    4 years down the line I chose this year to be nothing short of adventurous. Travels,food,photoshoots. Just a whole lot of me time. Peace of mind as one thing I plan on retaining. Open to Letting go of people and things that don’t add value to the woman I am because at the end of the day my life is my own.

  4. I have chosen to start taking more time for myself. This was actually one of my New Years goals. Instead of always putting myself on the back burner I have decided to give me more time. I just recently went and got my hair done the other day. I plan on getting my nails done as well as taking myself on a little shopping trip for some new clothes too!

  5. What a super lovely giveaway! I’ve purposed to love myself this year by choosing a massage each month, taking more time to read my books, and going on a daily beach walk <3
    xoxo
