What’s Good Wednesday

Nairobi is a pretty exciting city to live in and there are usually several things happening be it art exhibitions to food festivals.I figured this being a food blog, I could on occasion share food related events that would be worth checking out. I’ll focus on events that generally appeal to me and that I’d love to attend or those that I’ve attended. Enter, What’s good Wednesday?

For my premier post, I have two events;

All day Sunday Brunch and K1 Klubhouse Flea Market

My fellow foodies and bloggers Kaz and Sheena are behind this laid back event. With Sheena heading the kitchen and Kaz curating the flea market you are guaranteed of a splendid afternoon.

The all day Sunday brunch menu is bound to leave you asking for more.I stopped by this past Sunday with my daughter . We had the sunrise orange infused pancakes served with bacon and sausages. Y’all know how much I love pancakes and these held up to their name plus the pairing with the bacon was  amazing.

We also had the yoghurt parfait which was my daughter’s favourite, she kept on saying tamu (delicious).

As for the flea market, there were quite a number of vendors. The arrangement is pretty easy to navigate through and is clearly market out according to sections. From artists selling their masterpieces to others selling homemade cookies and cakes to jams and sauces. You can also find some made in Kenya designs.

They also have a bouncy castle and face painting available so don’t leave your little ones behind.

Looking for a chill after church event with great brunch and cool music then this is the place. The flea market runs every Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Oh and entrance is absolutely free, amazing? I know 🙂

Nairobi Restaurant Week 2017

This is the 4th year since the beginning of Nairobi Restaurant Week. This year the event runs from 26th January to 5th January. The special menus are prices at Ksh. 950 for lunch (2 course menu) ,  Ksh. 1950 for dinner (3 course + cocktail) or Ksh. 3950 (5 course + cocktail)

Take advantage of the subsidised prices and go experience what Nairobi has to offer in terms of great food.

As usual my #NRW kitty is empty, nonetheless I do plan on visiting a few places.
